Bruce Campbell says, “yeah, and maybe I’m a Chinese jet pilot” in Evil Dead 2 – is that the first movie

Question by PixieCat: Bruce Campbell says, “yeah, and maybe I’m a Chinese jet pilot” in Evil Dead 2 – is that the first movie
Is this the first movie this line has been used in, did he get it from another movie / or another character
or
Is this line one of Bruce Campbell’s “running jokes” that repeats in many of his feature movies, or is that the ONLY time he’s used that line?
Thank you,

Best answer:

Answer by Sandra
It is becoming very popular for movies to put an extra scene at the end of the credits. Like in Pirates of the Caribbean, most people don’t know that Will and Elizabeth now have a kid. It was at the end after the credits. Sometimes it’s just alittle scene that makes you curious for the next movie.

Question by Barth Bouille: “Diary of the Dead”. How is this movie???
.

Best answer:

Answer by Fright Film Fan
…if you can find it in your area (…it just opened, but for limited releasing), I would most highly recommend George A. Romero’s “Diary of the Dead”. You know lately, zombie movies have come, and zombie movies have gone, and for the most part, they have gotten to be pretty tired, generic and run-of-the-mill; however, leave it to the master, Mr. George Romero, to once again take the genre, which he created with the original “Night of the Living Dead”, and give it a new spin/perspective…

…as with his previous ‘living dead’ entries, Romero once again underlines the typical grotesque, bloody and desperate proceedings, with a poignant and acidic commentary associated with present-day society…in this case, the hazards, dangers and obsessions, regarding the information highway and the internet, with regards to the ease of accessing, acquiring, manipulating and producing what is visual, and how dangerous that ability can be, especially since anyone with a video camera/cell phone can do it with relative ease, now…

…if you have to go out of your way to find and see this film (…that is, unless it is already online someplace, ironically reflecting the subplot of the movie itself), then by all means, do so; you will not be disappointed!!!

So, I have this “thing” for doctors….need help?

Question by Scarlett: So, I have this “thing” for doctors….need help?
Honestly, it’s not a sex fantasy.
The thing I’m attracted to the most about doctors is their knowledge about the human body, the desire to help people and the wonderful bedside manner that (most) doctors have.

So when I’m reading books or watching movies, I like for it to have a male character in it that is a doctor. I especially love when it’s a romance, though it doesn’t have to be.

So my question is, does anyone know of any good movie or books with Doctors in it? It doesn’t have to be centered solely on that profession or have the word “Doctor” in the title. But I would like a character of that profession to be in it.

Best answer:

Answer by Phungus Poopdeck
“The Doctor,” from 1991. Liked it a lot. Romance isn’t a big part of it. An arrogant doctor changes his ways to become a model patient-first physician. Just a good story. Rent it if you have a chance.

By JILL REILLY and DAILY MAIL REPORTER
PUBLISHED: 20:44 EST, 10 April 2012 | UPDATED: 03:37 EST, 11 April 2012

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2128031/Whoopi-Goldberg-…

As ABC’s TV presenter Whoopi Goldberg argued that news reporters should say the n-word in full when quoting people who have used it the station bleeped out the actress as she said ‘n*****’.

Hosting ABC’s The View today, Goldberg supported calls from CNN news anchor Don Lemon to use the word in full when in the context of a news story or directly quoting someone who has used the curse.

But when the Oscar-winning actress was asked by co-host Barbara Walters if she used the word herself Goldberg’s answer was bleeped out.

The Sister Act star had argued that the word should not be eliminated and is made ‘cute’ by being replaced with ‘the N-word’.

‘What reporters do is they report the news. And every time you make it ‘the N-word,’ it’s cute,’ she said.

‘But I feel very strongly about the word. Do not eliminate it. It’s part of our history. Every time people try to sort of make it sound better or more acceptable, let’s call it what it is,’ the Hollywood actress argued.

Then Walters, who confessed she was uncomfortable even talking about the word, asked Goldberg if she uses the word herself.

Ironically, Goldberg’s answer was bleeped out but she appeared to confirm that she did use it.
‘I am bleeped, ever since the word was buried, you know, there was a whole ceremony with a whole funeral – people buried it. Ever since then, you cannot say the word on television,’ answered Goldberg.

‘They’ve tried to fix ‘Roots,” she continued. ‘They’ve taken it out of books…This idea that taking it out makes it somehow better is ridiculous. It’s part of the culture. Let us speak on it and say this is what it is.’

In recent weeks the issue of whether journalists should say the word in full has been discussed as three CNN news anchors have used ‘n******’ when reporting a story or in context of the debate.

The discussion was particularly poignant because another CNN reporter did just that the following day, leading to a backlash from viewers.

Susan Candiotti was reporting on the Good Friday shooting spree in Tulsa, in which a white man named Jake England randomly gunned down five black victims on the second anniversary of his father’s death – he had been shot dead by an African American.

On Thursday, a day before the shootings, England took to his Facebook page to vent his anger about the man who shot his father dead.

When quoting England’s Facebook page in her news report on Sunday for CNN Newsroom, Susan Candiotti repeated the profanity he used.

‘Today is two years that my dad has been gone, shot by a f****** n*****.’

The network did blur the words out when it showed a graphic of the post.

Ms Candiotti had prefaced the comment by saying, ‘Please excuse the language, it’s very sensitive.’

At the end of Candiotti’s report, anchor Fredricka Whitfield said, ‘We apologize to our viewers for the profanities used.’

Ms Candiotti later apologized, as well saying, ‘In quoting someone else’s words, I repeated their offensive and inappropriate language. I deeply regret it.

Last month CNN reporter Drew Griffin said the n-word on live TV Thursday as he talked about a hate crime case.

Griffin was quoting the words used by Deryl Dedmon, a 19-year-old white Mississippi man convicted of hate crimes for running down black man with his truck and killing him.

Explaining the June killing of Craig Anderson, 47, Griffin says: ‘Deryl Dedmond backs up and gets a good aim and just plows him over on the way out.

‘To be absolutely factual, at the end of this, Deryl Dedmond is laughing with his friends and actually called on his cell phone and, pardon my language but there’s no other way to say this, and said, ‘I just ran over that f*****g ******.’

Potter Palmer Family Grand Columned Monument (1826-1902)

Potter Palmer was responsible for much of the development of State Street. He operated an extremely successful dry-goods store in partnership with Marshall Field and Levi Leiter. In the 1860s he withdrew from this business (leasing the building to Field and Leiter for ,000 a year). He owned 3/4 mile of State street and constructed a number of buildings, including the Palmer House Hotel. In 1871 he married the young and beautiful Bertha Honoré, daughter of Henry Hamilton Honoré.

The Palmer House Hotel was newly completed in 1871 when the Great Chicago Fire struck. In a single night, all of Palmer’s State Street properties were destroyed. He borrowed million from an insurance company, up to then the largest amount ever loaned to a private citizen, and immediately began rebuilding State Street and the new Palmer House Hotel.

Bertha Palmer was considered the queen of Chicago high society, and was a patron of Impressionist artists. The Palmers lived in a Gothic castle at 1350 North Lake Shore Drive, built in 1885. Before the construction of the Palmer home, south-side Prairie Avenue had been the most desirable residential real-estate for the rich, but following Palmer’s lead they began building on the "Gold Coast". Mrs. Palmer created a 75-foot picture gallery in her richly ornamented home, collecting the work of French Impressionist painters such as Claude Monet. She frequently entertained such guests as President McKinley.

When Mrs. Palmer died in Florida in 1918, her body was returned to her castle beneath a blanket of orchids. Potter and Bertha Palmer now lie within the two large granite sarcophagi, with the inverted torches on the sides symbolic of death. Three generations of their descendants lie beneath the floor around them. McKim, Mead & White designed their tomb the style of a Greek temple, the largest and most magnificent in Graceland.

The burial scene in the movie Damien: Omen II takes place just north of the Palmer monument.

Why do people try to compare these two, Kubrick’s film and King’s novel? I personally can’t; they’re two totally different stories with the same story line.
